CT Sales of Southern Illinois, Flight Design CT flighting train center. Dan Johnson talks to Tom Baker of CT Sales of Southern Illinois about the CT line of line sport aircraft.

Including some of the differences in the CTSW, CTLS and CTLSi.

CT Sales of Southern IL, LLC was formed Thomas Baker in June 2007 to become a dealer for the Flight Design CT model aircraft. Why did we choose the CT over the other Light Sport aircraft?

After looking at the specifications for several aircraft the CT was right at the top of the list. The other big factor is the distributor network and support structure for the CT.

There are airplanes in stock for immediate delivery. These are some of the reasons why the CT is the number one selling Special Light Sport aircraft in the USA.

At the Midwest LSA Expo, wanted to hear Tom's comparison of the non-fuel-injected CTLS and the new Rotax iS 912 engine, watch the video on the next page of the site for more information.

Flight Design previewed their integration of the AMT FlyCool air conditioning system in the Flight Design CTLS at Sun 'n Fun 2013. Flight Design partnered with FlyCool to develop an installation for the Flight Design CTLS. According to US Aviation rep, Scott Severen said, "We are seeing a 20 degree drop in less than 10 minutes on a 100 degree day" The FlyCool system is a 9,500 BTU per hour, all-electric system that fits in the right side baggage area of the CTLS (photo).

US Aviation will perform installations at their sprawling Denton, Texas facility. Scott also noted that they plan to offer an option to pre-cool the CTLS during pre-flight by plugging the unit in to standard 110 volt current in the hangar." The hardware swallows up half of CTLS' baggage area, but small shelves behind each seat will suffice for short trips.

The cost is less than $15,000 and takes about a week, he said. "Visitors at the show who experienced the system working were quite impressed by the volume of cool air moving through the cockpit vents between the seats," observed Severen. Flycool is an innovative, lightweight, very low-power-draw air conditioning system developed by Air Management Technology of Denver, Colorado.
