LAMA is ramping up services to help you understand the process for certification of light sport kits and ready-to-fly aircraft, what you will have to do to comply, and how LAMA can help promote your products in the new environment here and abroad.

LAMA extends to your company an invitation to join LAMA. Annual dues are $500. If your company selects to obtain a LAMA audit on one of your LSA models $250 will be deducted from the audit fee, like getting your first year’s LAMA membership at half the cost.

Members also benefit from LAMA’s continued exploration of various methods of industry marketing and promotion. Currently, we are beginning eMarketing to about 5000 training/repair FBOs in the country, providing URLs of LAMA members to interested facilities. LAMA represents member and industry interests in Washington, DC and provides a forum for exchanging ideas with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and other entities.

Members receive reports and survey results pertaining to sport aircraft/light aircraft regulations, standards and industry discussions and events. LAMA will help you focus on what you do best and leave the complicated, costly and time-consuming morass of government regulations, meetings and industry promotion to LAMA. Members will know that there is a strong voice advocating their business interests.

Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association (LAMA) is a nonprofit national trade association representing manufacturers of light aircraft, engines, avionics, parts/subassemblies and suppliers and distributors to the light sport/light aircraft industry and community.

In addition to building nearly all of the kit-built and ready-to-fly light aircraft operating in the United States, LAMA member companies also are opening maintenance/repair training facilities across the nation.

Founded in 1984, LAMA represents the interests of its members before the United States Congress, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, and other federal and state government agencies directly concerned with the national airspace system. It also maintains close working relationships with other associations representing various facets of the aviation community.

Through its public information and education programs, LAMA promotes better understanding of the sport and light aviation environment. LAMA strives to improve the business condition of light aviation and highlight the important role light aviation plays in the national economy and in serving America’s aviation interests.
